...the Front of Van. It only has 19,000 Miles on it and "Creaks" like a Door Opening...Coming from front end even when van is off, because I got out of van and it Creaked "after" it was shut off. This JUST STARTED and It does it all the time when Driving (like a spring needs oiling), It does it when turning the wheels...It does it when stopping (as the front end dives down), and again as the Front-End comes up when I press the gas to go from stopped position (stop signs, red lights, etc.). I just had a Full service oil change 200 miles ago and it still creaks!! and Remember, it only has 19,000 miles on it. I take Great Care of this Van. And Under the Extended Warrenty (7yrs/70,000), I would have to pay the First $100.00 to check it out at the Dodge Dealer. So, does anyone know what is causing this "CREAKING SOUND" in Front-End of a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan.!!! How do I Eliminate this? It is very Annoying!!! Please Help?---RON in Michigan. possible strut problems or sway bar bushings, Its' going to cost you the deductible of 100.00 either way..... just let them fix it and not be annoyed by it anymore. Be best to have it looked at soon in case its critical.

Don't spray lubricant down on your suspension parts, it is temporary at best and only gives a false sense of security. If WD-40 was a true service method or fix for your suspension it would be listed in service manuals. The creaking sound is common in 1998-2004 Dodge SUV's and vans. USUALLY the cause is ball joints and/or tie rods. They may need adjusting, they may need replacing. Dodge's front ends for these years were extremely prone to compnent failure and you are not the only one having this problem. In fact, an influx of folks with 2000-2003's are coming in right now. If you read website's like dodgetalk or durangoclub you'll find quite a few people asking the exact same question that you are, all because their cars have aged to the point where these components are failing. Mileage has little to do with it, truly these components are just old and they crack and decay and as such, make noise. Have your dealer check it out because a $100 deductible is getting off pretty easy. Try to talk the service manager into replacing everything all at once by telling them it's a duplication of labor not to replace ball joints and/or tie rod ends in pairs. They'll usually go for that. This creaking noise may be coming from the torsion bar underneath the vehicle at front end.It is a bar that runs from on A frame to the other A frame.It has rubber bushings that dry out.I have used some WD 40 on them by spraying them really good with the lubricant.Check for more of these kind of bushings and body mounts may do the same thing.

hi,,, spraying lubricant might be a temporary fix. what you have is a not so tight nut or bolt... try to tighten some more the area that you suspect... the strut bolts on top., the tortion bar nut, upper arm nut... a quarter turn max will do the trick. enjoy.
