The hypnosis tape was given to me. I started to listen to it but there was whispering in the background. Would you listen to a tape that has whispering in it but you cannot hear the words that are whispered? You could be being brainwashed and not know it.Would you listen to the whole tape?

those are called subliminal affirmations and are totally harmless - they are positive statements that work on a sub-conscious suggestive level because they are played at a very low frequency and you cannot consciously hear them. the statements vary according to the tape - for instance a self-esteem tape would say something like "i am worthy of love". they work on different sides of the brain - a statement in the right ear is for the left brain and vice versa. don't worry - it's not sinister - perfectly standard hypnotic technique. it would be impossible to be 'brainwashed' - even if someone were to attempt it (why would they?), they are not that powerful.

No, because I would be rather paranoid and probably throw it out the window or burn it! That would scare me so badly! :S

It seems sneaky, so it would bother me. I don't think I would listen to it.
