Man has been bustin' 'the dozens' onto each other probably since we stood upright and started to communicate with each other. 'Yo Momma' jokes cross all cultural and political boundaries...all mankind participates in this form of humor.
I've heard some funny ones here and there, but by in large, I think that they're unimaginative...I guess I've listened to people bust on each other too long.

i think its a way to drive a point home with a third person's persona.
people normally always dont need to use a Yo mamma opening line. They can slander without it too!
And besides the yo mamma jokes are meant to be black(i guess!!).... No offense PLEASE!!

I think its the relationship to your mother that everyone sees as the best way to get to you, kinda like a high school mentality, Like "your mama's so skinny, she can hula hoop with a cheerio, or something like that.
