Both my g/f and I have experienced automatic headaches when we first take our regular vitamins away from home. Ever had a similar experience? What to do?

What is the change in elevation? I would be more suspicious of that than the Vits.

do you take them on an empty stomach when you are away from home? do you eat something when you take them at home?

I know that there are certain vitamins i can not take due to the level of niacin in them. I learned (the hard way) what happens when you get too much niacin in one shot. Feeling hot, flushed, itchy, can't breathe....i thought i was going to die and i was driving to work. It is almost like an allergic reaction, as it apparently opens up your blood vessels. I'm told that if you take your vitamin with food, this is less likely to happen. Might be something to look in to. by the way, the same vitamins, i had been taking with no problem for the previous year. Something changed in the last batch, although the manufacturer swears they didn't change the amounts.

The vitamins don't change, but the foods change, so your body has to adjust to the absorption as it has been altered.
Be good to your system. Lay off the vitamins that you usually take until you are back to the same food.
Just be smart and don't eat a lot of junk.

High doses of vitamins can trigger headaches. Vitamins sometimes responsible for head pain include vitamin A in high doses and B vitamins (especially niacin).

It should not make any difference where the vitamin's are taken maybe she took two doses instead of one and that caused the headaches.
