for example: a song that is 6MB in size..is there a way or a program that can lower its size??? pls help me...

Well you will need an audio editing program e.g. http://www.dbpoweramp.com/

You will have to lower the mp3 bit rate but be warned that you will also loose some quality..higher bit rate usually means a good quality mp3. Now if you lower the bit rate from 192 to 128 you will have a small resulting file size but quality would not be hurt too much. If you go any lower than that you will notice that it will not sound good. You can also do a search on google for lowering the bit rate on an mp3.

some audio editing programs have a selection to lower the sampling rate, which reduces files size--but it also decreases quality.

yep - half the song. just kidding. lower the quality if u want- re-rip the MP3 using a lower bitrate, 8bit instead of 16, etc...quite tedious actually ...
