I'm looking for a tattoo artist who will do a great job in writing very small and detailed Kanji ( Japanese Characters). Thanks in advance for your help!

Any of the artists on this page will rock. I went to the San Jose Tattoo Convention, and tons of artists had their work on display from loyal clients to open photo albums of the tons of work they have done. They were all amazing. You can rely on that list because a good artist puts themself out there and they get recognition and to be accepted into that convention means that have something to show and bring to the convention. So anyone on that list depending on how close they are to you, you'd be hooked up with a good artist. Many of the artists on that list have a website you can check up on too, so you don't have to visit their shop to check out their work.

I would suggest Staircase in Santa Cruz; everyone I know who's gone there has been absolutely thrilled, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience either. They win 'Best Place to Get a Tattoo' in Santa Cruz year after year, and I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't think they deserve it. All six resident artists are award-winning and top-notch, and their in-shop portfolios have examples of healed work as well. They also self-regulate to the strictest of standards regarding sterility. If you want, give them a call or drop in and ask who in particular would be best for the design you want; they're very helpful.

I know I sound a lot like a commercial, but I seriously can't recommend them highly enough. Good luck!

My sis is going to get a tatt done in April. She's going to a place called "Graven Image". Its in Mountain View and off the El Camino. He is so good that he requires a $50 deposit with each appointment and it takes like 2-3 months to make an appointment. Hope this helped you:)

Staircase does great work...have a good friend with ink from there...his ink is very impressive...

I went to Dawei Tattoo - Santa Clara. Two artists there...Lily and Dawei...for the tattoo that you want, you're going to want to ask about Lily.
