Matthew 5:23-24
"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

I believe you can find this in the gospel of Matthew chapter 5, durin the sermon on the mount. He says if you remember your brother has something against you, to leave your offering at the altar and go make peace with your brother. When you are done, then return and make the offering.

Dear New Creation,
Its found in Matthew 5:23-24. The basic principle isn't to leave the temple (but its' that if we have something against someone) its better to be ressovled with that person first before giving an offering. It reminds us that our offering to God isn't just the act of giving him something- but giving him our best from a genuine heart.
God wants us to love Him and love others (the two great commandments).
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

I don't think so. Could you be meaning this passage:
Matthew 5:23 “Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering."

The verses that you are looking for are found in Matthew 5.23-24 which says: "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift."
God bless.

Matthew 5:23,24 “If, then, you are bringing your gift to the altar and you there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, and go away; first make your peace with your brother, and then, when you have come back, offer up your gift."

Are you asking about the story in Acts I think it is where they ask the man to leave the church because he married his mother-in-law? And then later he repents and they take him back in?
Here, have a cherry walnut cookie while you ponder.
(JR - ah yes, that is correct. There you go, and here's a cookie for JR)
