I had surgery back October on my foot to remove a couple of pieces of bone floating around from a fracture. I have healed but still in pain. When I flex my foot like ballarina style my foot cramps up and it feels like there is a band over my foot near the ankle sometimes. Is that what pysical therapy helps with? Because I am doing PT now for thigh pain - could the thigh pain be associated with the foot pain as well? I have my next PT session on Wednesday and would like to ask the PT that but just curious what others think.

Physical therapy shouldn't hurt. Did you do your exercise that they told you to do or stay off of it while healing. My therapist never made me do anything that caused pain. So tell them and ask what's going on for your own health.
