that person is not sure what you want or mean when you say or do something so just tell him or her straight exactly how you feel and what you want

Mind games is the term applied to someone who says one thing and does another, in a relationship. The way to deal with what may appear to be a mind game is to simply ask what someone means by their conduct and their words. If you are accused of playing mind games, someone is having trouble understanding what you mean. So ask them what their problem is and tell them that if they don't understand where you're coming from, to ask and you'll be happy to tell them.

A mind game is something you would do on purpose to get someone to think or behave a certain way in your favor. It is an insult. They are saying you are being fake and just playing with thier emotions. You are dealing with a very insecure jerk. I would dump the association with them.
