If a car is coming you move away but tillman saw a bullet and got shot ,he should have ducked the army, only the brainless enlist for the meat grinder. And for those that think that killing civilians is honorable , please consult the Vienam vets they know better. Obviouslt our Vietnam vets got killed and these new recruit do not see the lesson left by our vet from Vietnam.
THIS IS WHAT BUSH JUST SAID....
"This is only the beginning," he said. "The message has spread from Damascus to Tehran that the future belongs to freedom, and we will not rest until the promise of liberty reaches every people in every nation."
THIS IS WHAT HITLER SAID...
"What we have to fight for is the freedom and independence of the fatherland, so that our people may be enabled to fulfill the mission assigned to it by the creator"

You have no pride in the U.S.- Tillman is an honored fallen soldier...you'll never have the respect he's been shown...accidental death or not...

Congratulations on being the first person I have ever reported to Yahoo.
I enlisted in the Army before 9/11 and reenlisted after 9/11. I even scored very high on my SAT's. When taking my ASVAB I scored extremely high and chose INFANTRY!!!
I am now out of the Army because I have a family and was losing it from doing what I loved...deploying. I didn't want to lose my family and knew I couldn't pass up deployments so I made a tough choice.
I now have a degree in Administration of Justice and I am a peace officer.
How in the world am I stupid?
I have something you will never understand..patriotism. Tillman,a million other people on active duty, and many millions more that are veterans, and I share this quality.

You obviously have no pride. It's because of "brainless" people like Tillman that you are able to voice your opinion, as ignorant as they may be, today. Please do so without disrespecting MY country or the military men & women who fought & died for our freedom and/or the freedom of others.
I read this story in Sports Illustrated dated May 3, 2004, Volume 100, Issue 18 (Pat Tillman is on the cover)http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/magazine/09/05/tillman0911/
I recommend it to anyone who is curious about what really happened.

We will never know if Tillman may have been purposely killed by another American or if it was an accident.
Either way he failed in his endeavor to avenge 9/11 or whatever may have driven him to think invading Afghanistan to apprehend Binladen was somehow a useful and patriotic thing to do.
In any event he failed, the USA failed and afterward Commander-in-Chief Bush himself said getting Binladen was a silly fruitless idea.
Tillman wasn't too bright I'm afraid and unfortunately he suffered for it.
I am thankful that he didn't visit unjust death and misery upon many others in his misguided task.

Do not dishonor those who have the courage to do that which you are too cowardly to do yourself. He gave up a lucrative football career to enlist, not become an officer, in the Army.
Also invest in a class in basic writing to improve your grasp of grammar and sentence structure.

If you have a point to make, kindly do so in a manner that does not belittle a soldier killed in action. He did what he felt was correct, and you have no right to judge him.

He had enough brains to know he was volunteering to murder LITTLE PEOPLE just to steal oil ...for another man. LOL
Moral-less, and an inner need for attention, or maybe (due to personal disquieting gay thoughts,)he wanted to prove he was a "real man."
"ima MAN, killins hard, i hada kill me som kids for they kilt me. ima big man, killin hard ...for tha flag. sometimes i hadda torture em. Its a hard job. poor brave me." "boo hoo hoo, poor brave me."
Of course, if our boys weren't torturing and killing the innocent, i wouldn't have the freedom to write this letter. ( HUH?)
