I am sorry that you are going through a rough time right now, and I am sorry that some people on here can't be more sympathetic, but anyways..they have stuff at the store that you can purchase to make scars less noticable, you really need to get professional help to stop cutting, but if you just started then you can get the stuff to make your scars less noticable, or possibly go away. You can IM me if you need or want to talk more. Take Care!

I went through a similar time in my life. I wasnt doin so great and i turned to drugs and cutting. what a mistake that was. Listen, you dont have to cut. if you do it because of an emotional stress find someone to talk to. i know that at the time if feels as though its the only thing that can help you but believe me, there is much more to life then cutting. try listing to music, playing an instrument, a sport, or even expressing your talents. but like i said cutting is a habit, and its a bad one to break. all you have to do is be strong and fight it. you can do it, after all, i got through it.

If you feel that you will do it again than I suggest that you seek help. Trust me it is the best thing you could do I have been cutting for about 9 years now and have dozens of scars
that will potentially never go away, I have never worn a bathing suit in my life and possible never will because of it.

Cutting is considered self-mutilation and needs urgent psychiatric attention. I suggest that you pick up the phone book and find psychiatrist in your local area. He/She will give you psychological intervention or if necessary medication. In the mean time try to think about what your doing to yourself before you do anything. I you feel an urgent need to perform self-mutilation call 1-800-DON'T CUT Immediately. So get help and hang in there (Don't listen to any of those Scientology idiots. Psychiatry saved my life and it can save yours!)

Hi think that you are the most wonderful person on this earth, look at the mirror and appreciate yourself . Hurting your body only will make you ugly.

I suggest that you take up deep breathing say 50 times when ever you feel like cutting yourself.During deep breathing tell yourself that you will never ever cut yourself.
I think this will help

The reason you should stop cutting yourself isn't because swimming season is soon and everyone will see it, you need to stop for your own health. Cutting usually is the result of high levels of stress and/or dissociation. you need to first love yourself, stop hurting yourself, and seek help. Usually cutting is the result of an underlying problem such as depression or anxiety.

Apply Mederma to the scars and STOP!! Consider talking to a pyschologist or getting some anti-depressants. Think about this: do you really want to leave permanent scars on your body.. What about when you want to wear a bikini at the beach? Not worth it!!

the easiest way to break a bad habit is to replace it with a good one.

like every time you feel the urge to cut yourself...call a friend/loved one. it could even be as simple as putting on lip gloss. just carry a tube with you everywhere you go and whenever you get that feeling, pull it out and apply! (this worked for one of my friends, no lie!)

Time to get some help..... I am a cutter also and you have to get some help. Are you hurting so much on the inside that you want your pain to be seen on the outside??
Get yourself some aloe vera and put in on there.
Stop hurting yourself, find someone that you trust and talk to them. There are plenty of groups through your doctor, they help alot. Knowing that their are other people that have gone through what you are going through really helps hearing what helped them, not that it will help you but knowing that there is help in nice.
Please reach out to someone close to you talk about what is bothering you and stop holding things in until you want to hurt yourself.

Best of luck to you..
