when a guy and girl meet, the guy views the girl as what she currently is and that the girl views the guy as the potential he has?

Hmmm...interesting point. I suppose this could be true, but more with younger people. Older women don't strike me as interested and so I think that since they have had it already-- the kids, house and marriage--this is why older men go for younger women.
They desire to have stability and marriage. Why bother going after someone who is not interested? People call it sexist but I have yet to meet an older woman who was really interested in settling down and getting married again. A lot of them want to travel, work and spend time with their friends.

Hmm..you know I have never thought about this before. Its quite an interesting question. I can't say for sure what guys see when they first meet a girl, simply because I am not one, but I can lend some insight into the mind of a girl. Meeting a new guy is like a game in a way. I see him, and I instantly analyze every feature about him: his smile, laugh, demeanor, level of confidence, etc. This analysis leads to the conclusion of whether or not I'd like to get to know more about him. Its pretty much all about reading the other person - I'm sure thats something that works both ways. If the guy seems too shut away from the world, then its not even worth trying. I can't exactly say that I see him for the potential he has, although I am more open to seeing that. I think girls are just better at NOT judging a book by its cover whereas for guys, thats pretty much all day do.

All men and women don't think alike so to your question there's A yes and no answer ,but for me I'm not looking for the potential he has I'm looking for his heart ,and lets thank God that all men don't views women as what she currently is bc that could be A bad hair day.....lol.... All the money in the world can't make you HAPPY this I know I lived it and left ed it ,live your life for happiness and real love and then you're know how it feel to be RICH...........

I think its something like that...I think girls see their prince charming when they view guys that fit the bill...regardless of what character they may have...and they may even hang on to a bad relationship thinking he will eventually turn into prince charming.

I think that is true mostly. But, my last b/f wanted me to change soo much and I adored him just how he was. Needless to say, it didn't work. I can bend and bend but at some point I break.

hmmmm...i never thot of it that way, but in some cases maybe your right, women perceive men not just in the physical financial , but specially on how they wil eventually treat us when we become old grey and wrinkled.
