That accepts gays, doesn't think tv or video games is evil, believes that its ok to eat meat, and that rock music is ok?

What I mean by accepting gays is the belief that gays won't go the hell as long as they are saved.

Also there is no where in the bible that claims homosexuality is wrong. Sodom and Gamorra (however you spell it) was destroyed for its wickedness of wanting to rape, not for some being gay.

I go to a non-denominational Christian church. My beliefs -- and those of most of the members -- is that adultery (whether gay or straight) is a sin (based on the teachings of Christ) ... but so is lying, stealing, coveting, drinking, and being judgemental! The level of sin in a person's lifestyle is between them and God, so we would never look down upon gay people or condemn them. Judgement is reserved for God only!!

Also, we believe that your choices in TV, video games, and music is your personal decision, and as long as it is not tempting you or causing you to sin, then its no big deal. Once again, the level of sin in your life is strictly between you and God ... and its God's place to deal with it accordingly.

As far as eating meat, Jesus came so that we wouldn't be bound under the constraints of the law. So eating meat or even shellfish is okay! The blood of Christ cleanses us, so we don't have to worry about what is dirty or "unclean".

Anyone should be free to worship God regardless of who they love, what they like to watch on TV, or their choice of music!

Most Christian religions accepts gays, but rejects homosexuality (like rejecting cancer, but accepting the patient) and many reject the homosexual deathstyle. Most Christian religions would judge the tv or video games on an individual bases, according to their content. Most Christian religions think that it is okay to eat meat, but certain sects do not believe that part of the Bible. Most Christian religions think that rock music is okay or not according to their content, usually based upon their lyrics, but some think that rock music can be evil as well.

Better questions are "what does God accept?" and "which religion agrees with God?"

In response to your added details:
Homosexuality is one of the highest possible sins listed in the Bible and has the special stamp of being an abomination before God. If you are going to claim otherwise, you might as well trash the Holy Bible as if it was just a book, but personally I would say believe the Bible, and if you can't justify a sin with the Bible, then it is time to repent and come to God.

It depends on what you mean by accepting these things. All Christian religions "should" accept a gay person into their community even if they disagree with the gay lifestyle. As far as tv, music, video games etc, again it would depend on the content. Not all tv is bad, not all video games are bad and some rock music is great. And yes, most of us even eat meat. The differing opinions of what is acceptable and what is not should be based on WWJD. (What would Jesus do) If something portrays harm or sin, then yes, we would look at it as being wrong.

Just to clarify one thing, Buddhism is in no way Christianity. But, to get to the question, most Christians like eating meat and listening to rock... or at least the one from California. However, the Christian religion as a whole does not support homosexuality. That is why many people looking for sex changes and participation in other such trans-gender/homosexual activities (for lack of a better word) go to Thailand and other parts of Buddhist Asia because Buddhists are much more open minded than Christians. (not to offend anyone... but its true)

Sorry, they will accept tv and video games, eating meat, and rock music, but accepting the gay lifestyle - no.

except for the gays part, most churches should be fine. To find a church that accepts gays, you'll have to find one that doesn't believe in the Bible... which is one of the biggest things in all Christian denominations.

You might check out the Metropolitan Community Church, or for a more traditional one, the United Chruch of Christ (Some of these are Open and Affirming of GLBT folk).

the closest would be buddhism, but there is no power of the holy spirit, just some shared ideas about pride and humility. Anyone living in sin whether it is gambling, addiction or homosexuality is welcome in a christian church that will help them seek the kingdom and the righteousness.
