like for instance one time she took 30 at one time and 10 like 5 times and random amounts over 10 about 8 times. all the pills were 200 mg . she doesnt do it anymore but could this of hurt her in the longrun? she used to never get sick either but lately she has so i told her maybe her liver isnt working right??

ok first of all being depressed and taking that amount of ibuprofen, advil, and tylenol sounds almost suicidual. depressed people tend to do this and not really realize that they are trying to kill themselves. secondly, too much of these medicines, even though over the counter can cause stomach ulcers and bleeding in the stomach. to much medicine weakens the imuned system also and they tend to take more and more cause the regular dose doesn't work, which can lead to overdose. have her checked for ulcers.

Thats the number one thing that she should get checked out is her liver also if she has been experienced any stomach problems then this can also result in stomach ulcers and bleeding. Its great that she has stopped but she still should probably go and get a routine liver test at least once a year. Good luck to her.

the media needs to get the word out: OVERDOSING ON TYLENOL AND IBUPROFEN ARE A MISERABLE WAY TO GO!!! chances are she will be fine, (with the right psychiatrist). toxic injury to the liver usually happens pretty fast, and you would of known if that happened.

She should get a check up. I think too much ibuprofen can lead to liver damage.

Wow, that is very very dangerous. Please don't let her continue that. It could most certainly hurt her, not just long term, but short term too.
Not to mention, I don't think that taking massive doses of advil or any pain prescription is the right answer to depression. Please tell her to go talk to someone or see a doctor because that habit is again, very dangerous!

It could've put a hole in her stomach. And tell her to not be surprised if they don't work when she actually needs them.
