Memories are stored by our brain in a specific place. they have links to brink them out when required. Some links are weak because are unimportant to you so the brain put them in another file. That's a scientific explanation. My explanation is that sometimes thing that happen re whether to bad so we force our self to forget in order for us to get over the situation, or are good but not too important for us-- so we leave them somewhere at the back of our head. I know that there are times that you thought of something as important when you were unable to bring it forward in full detail, but back when it happened it was classified as a B or C priority and importance.

Feelings come and go and when they go they take with them the experience around them. The memory of the feeling and the experience cannot always be conjured up again to relive.
