You have options, but SF right off the bat isn't really one of them. The Army doesn't make a point of recruiting soldiers straight to SF school out of basic, regardless of what 11(x) MOS you have.
You will have the option of going to Airborne school straight out of basic/AIT. When in Airborne school, you will be asked to go to Pathfinder School and/or Ranger School. Take whatever you can get. Make no mistakes about it, Ranger School is hard but you will be in good shape coming straight out of Basic/AIT/Airborne, so it shouldn't be a big deal physically.
Once you get out of Ranger School, you will most likely be assigned to a Ranger Battalion. Do some time there and then make your move for SF. You will get have quite a few opportunities for schools while in a Ranger Bat (scuba, halo, jump master, whatever) and they will support you BIG TIME if you decide to go SF.
*EDIT* @ AWood80: Yes, you can go SF with a GED as long as your GT score is high enough.

You can enlist as an 18X and go straight to Special Forces Assessment and Selection after you complete basic training and jump school. However, SFAS is just like "try-outs" for the Special Forces. If you fail (and you most likely will, because it is VERY hard and you have literally ZERO military experience), you become an 11B and go to a duty station per the needs of the Army. My husband has 2 combat tours under his belt and he didn't finish SFAS, and our friend is a Ranger and it took him 2 tries to pass. The privates who go straight after basic almost never pass.
The other option is to go to SFAS when you have been in the Army for a little while. You have to be an E-4 or higher to go, have a certain GT score (105, I think), and pass a special physical, among other things. You will have a better chance of passing if you go after you have had some time in the Army. It will still be really difficult, but not as much as if you went as a brand new private. You can see an SF recruiter at your duty station (or look one up online if there's not one there) once you make E-4 to get more information and volunteer to go to SFAS.

You can't sign up for SF yet. You have to be an E-4 promotable before being able for Selection school. Unlike Rangers you can't be in a SF Batallion without being SF qualified.
For your unit to take you seriously about becoming SF you better be a top guy in PT, and start learning everything there is about everything the Infantry does. Do everything you can to get into the scout platoon as well or the LRS unit at your base.
Oh yeah...don't do like me. I blew my knee out 4 weeks before selection and never got a chance to go.
On a side note: I am surprised to still see the X idenifier since they were supposed to going away form B,C, and M when I had to reclassify (because of my knee). An 11 series soldier was supposed to serve in any capacity except 11H, that was to remain specialized.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this fact. To show how tough it is for selection you can go through the entire school without dropping out, complete every single challange...and not be selected.

Congratulations.
That depends on how well you do in boot camp.
Don't listen to any rumors. Call an SF recruiter now!!!!! or you will regret it. Go to a military base or get your recruiter that you talked to to put you in contact with an SF recruiter. SF recruiters specifically only work with enlisted people. You can only go talk to them after you enlisted. They will give you the low down on everything.
All you need to do is keep your nose clean, and stay physically fit. Take care of your feet and stretch. The Army is psycho about water. Just know for yourself that water is toxic in large amounts. Don't get injured and keep your head up. TAKE CARE OF YOUR FEET. Polish your boots every day.

Assuming you have a diploma, and not a GED, you can apply for SF when you get to your unit. You'll have to go through selection and all that fun stuff before going to the Q course. I suggest telling your recruiter that you want to take the DLAB, because you'll have to learn a language.
You might be able to do it with a GED, but I'm not sure.

you can sign up for sf now but you have to go to jump school first. It is also a good idea to go to a pre sf type school. that will tell you if sf is right for you. good luck!

Depends on which area of special forces you want.
You must prove yourself, meet the quals (which are much different from area to area, seals do not train like Delta etc)
any of them are not easy to get into and even harder to succeed in...
Thats why they are called special!!!
