I would say that a cold shower would be a shock to your system, and that since you were perspiring when working out that you were overheated, so I would say use tepid water.

i usually take a cool shower, not hot, but not freezing cold. it is bad for your muscles and it cramps them if you take a cold shower. i find that i cant take it to go from sweating to more hot-ness in the shower, so i just take a cool one. it relaxes me and feels good after im tired from working out :]

After you work ot, please take a warm, or cool (tepid) shower. It will help cool you down, without the shock or surprise of cold water, and not be too hot either. Take care.

Warm with a cool rinse. The heat relaxes the muscles and the cool reduces body heat.

Warm shower to cleanse out those open pores even more. Once you get out into the cooler air, it closes them and leaves you fresh!
