my question is: If an attractive woman is attracted to a guy, should she ask him out directly, or is there a subtle way to let that guy know she is interested in him?
Ive been told I am attractive but Ive always struggled with my self image, but I am interested in somebody who seems very shy and so, understanding the how and why of a guy being intimidated, Im just curious. Is it better for a woman to make the guy feel more comfortable around him or what?

You really have to watch out... Shy guys will take it as a joke or think you are making fun of them if you are to direct. They will think, "She's just making fun of me."

The best way to get close to someone like that is to make an excuse to talk to the guy or be near him. If you are in school or work then you could say, “Could you help me out on this problem.”

Maybe give him your email address… But remember, he will probably think you are deceitful and playing him for a joke. He probably may not even warm up to you quickly… But stick with it.. He’ll probably be more appreciative of you than anyone else….

I think that in every situation you should be true to yourself. If you are a very confident and sure person, it doesn't hurt to go to a guy and let him know right there that you are attracted to him and would like possibly take things further. If you are a shy person, you should take a more subtle approach, like making conversation, establishing a light friendship over time, and then maybe getting to know that person better. It all depends on what type of person you are. But you should always be true to yourself.

Both people in any type of relationship should try to make the other feel comfortable. Having said that, yes, you should ask the man out if you want to date him. Theres no reason in this day and time why the woman cant pursue as well as be pursued. Thats part of being equal.

You seem like a nice, decent girl, and that can be a double whammy because guys are not only intimidated by attractive girls, but also by girls whose good standard seems beyond them. (The too-good-to-be-true thing, looks and personality)

If so, it might be really really helpful if you hint that you like him first, and if that doesnt work out, theres no harm anymore in a girl making hte first move, especially when the guy is shy. Good luck =)

if the man is insecure, there's no way he'll feel comfortable around u, or anyone else who's an extrovert and has a good self-image. In my own opinion you should look for someone who's perhaps as secure as you are, but that offers you some challenge, but in a good way, not someone who's an idiot...my point is that at the begining u'll feel good about it, but later on u'll get sick n tired of his lack of self-esteem

It's true attractive women intimidate most guys or guys think that she has to have a man in her life. but if you like this guy plain and simple ask to lunch show him that you are real and smile at him let him know what you like about him and see what happens. good luck

Yes, otherwise you'll always be wondering what could have been. Shy guys are cute and usually means they are nice and know how to respect a girl. If you like him, go for it and try getting him to break out of his shell by talking to him a lot. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you! :-D

Woohoo for women power :-)~

People way over-thing these things.

Bite the bullet and ask her out for coffee. If it's yes, it's a beginning. If it's no, the agonizing is over and you can get on with finding Ms.Right.

Self doubt can be debilitating if you give it a voice in your head.
