i drove like an hr 1/2 to see if my bf was home as he said he was and said that i was stalking him?? and i kept calling till he answered the phone?

New York has a very complete and specific Anti-Stalking statute. It sets up various Degrees of stalking. It is very detailed.

stalking would be being a continous nuisance to a person to the point where they feel threatened

I think you probably weren't doing it out of malice, but if he thinks you were stalking him, then make sure to respect his definition of it.
