Which would be better for me to visit- Ratchaburi or Khorat?

Definitely Khorat. There are many Khmer ruins near there. You will be amazed by the beauty of Khmer art. Khorat itself is an ordinary Thai town. You can enjoy ordinary Thai life and people, and it's a wonderful experiment.

Korat would be a better choice. Ratchaburi is more Central than Northeast.

ratchaburi is south west of bangkok, I once lived there. Korat is in the northeast.

Nakhon Ratchasima, Phimai ruins are there ..... but i warn you ..... the beds at the Royal Princess Korat are horrible. its a top end hotel in that town, but there HAS to be better options.
