Here is one inconvenient way to get around parental restrictions that has one main requirement: you have Microsoft Office

Step 1: open Microsoft PowerPoint
2: create new PowerPoint
3: insert a custom action button via the "slide show" menu
4: Select the "On mouse click"->"run Program" option and choose the app you wish to run.
5: Press okay
6: run the slide show and test the button, it should open the app with no problems

You can change this powerpoint to make it more organized and even add mores apps to the list.

if you also have parental controls on the internet I could possibly teach you to make your account the admin.

You could also put in the OS install CD and become admin via that.

I have successful taken away the parental controls on my account easily.
