Recently, I was creating my avatar and realized there were no Hijabs. The only thing I could find was the "tall brown Head scarf". So I emailed Yahoo the suggestion of adding a Hijab to the already numerous accessories they offer for Avatars, but I have not heard back from them. Why is it so difficult to add one simple Hijab style and allow for three or four color variations like they do everything else?

I would guess it has something to do with the potential for abuse. Imagine all the idiots who could represent themselves wearing that particular article of clothing and the insulting parodies that they would dream up. Couple that with the recent track record of Muslims and satire........it would be easier to avoid the problem rather than deal with the fallout.

people could create them as an insult to islam like have her wear the hijab but make her wear a bikini or something like that

whats wrong with a hijab? the muslim women wear it so the thoughts of the men can be pure and holy.

Good point. There a lot of choices for other ethnic/religious groups, maybe they are working on it.
There are yarmalukes, which are basically yamikas, maybe they are the same thing I don't know.

There are kofi's and church backgrounds too. But mainly thewolf is probably right.

I've wondered that.

But then there are no yamikas, either, or preist garb, or nun habits, or Druid preistess robes, and so on.

I'd like to see some saris.

It probably isn't a difficult thing to do... you're right about that; but the reason there are none there already is that they're just STUPID RELIGIOIUS DECORATIONS.
