Wow, my conversion story is quite lengthy, and that is the pared down version. I wrote it out as a "paper" for my Youth Group. (I'm a Youth Pastor) It ended up being 4 pages, and that is the abridged version with only the utmost pertinent facts. Umm... too long to post here...

I know I will make it a blog on my myspace, here is the link...

If you really want to read a powerful testimony to the Lord and his power and Grace, read that, you won't be disappointed.

Yeah ,, Long story

Short version, Lots a ppl started Praying For me
Prayer Chain, I Didn't Know

2 yrs of absolute rediculas Calamity
Basically God Made me Hit Rock Bottom
To Get me to look up

I Finally Think I'll Go see If God exist & Give Him a Crack at straightening things Out

I Didn't Know if he existed or Not
But was saying stuff Like
"Theres Just to many incidences to all be coincedinces
Something spirituals Going on"

So at Church after hearing a "Born again" Message
I asked a Pastor if I Could do that Born again thingy
even if I had dought, he said trust Jesus w/ that dought
So I did & Said a sinners Prayer,
God removed all the dought within 3 months
but started that day as I arrived at Home my Mom Said
What Happened To You Two
(g/f at time was w/ me and had said prayer too)

we were Like why Now what
& She said "You Two are Glowing"
And she'd never Said that Before

Well..I was raised in the church, and "saved" around 4....but I never took my salvation very seriously until I was in my teens.

At 13, after a weekend Youth revival. I was baptised in the Holy Spirit, and began to get serious in my relationship with Christ. But most importantly I realized Christianity is NOT about the RELIGION but the RELATIONSHIP we have with Christ.

Sure, it's had it's ups and downs. I wont lie. Being a Christian and doing the right thing when everyone else isnt is VERY hard.

I've had my moments of weakness, but God was faithful and pulled me through, and has blessed me because of my willingness to follow Him.

I heard an awesome quote once "The Christian walk isnt about Self-fullfillment, but Self-Denial"

Paul said "it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me."

When we have the mind of Christ, we handle things so much better than we would if we were operating out of our "flesh" nature.

Even now at almost 21, I still see areas that need to be worked on, and stuff I am still dealing with, however, I look back from where I have come, and it is amazing how many circumstances that were impossible to see through, that God pulled me through by His grace, and how it has made me a better person because of that. :)

I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. Whenever the topic of religion came up, I was quick to defend what JW's believe. However, it never failed that someone would ask me, "Are you saved?" Not understanding what that meant, I would then ask my mother who responded to me by saying, "don't worry about that." So I didn't. Long story short, I ended up in a church listening to a sermon about how good works couldn't get you to heaven. I asked myself, "what do you have to do?" It was then the preacher quoted Acts 16:31 - "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and ye shall be saved." When I heard that word "saved," I said to myself, "You mean that word is in the Bible?" Reading what Scripture had to say made the difference in my life. I finally understood what true peace and happiness is all about.

If you talking of salvation of Lord Jesus, please rest assured he does not need it because he was dear prophet of God but if you are worried about your own salvation from sins, you shall have to bear your own cross.Your Lord is already dead and does need your testimony of the salvation.

I was exposed to the Gospel through a tract given to me by my platoon Sgt. I promised him I would read it later, which I did. Read it over and over, and it finally sunk in and I came to meet Jesus.
edit for those e-mailing: I was given command of the Company because I was the XO when the Capt. came down with extreme dysentery, I had met Jesus 5 hours before we set out, the Sgt. and I both were hit in the same firefight, I was evacuated to Germany after a patch job, I learned three days later the Sgt. was killed in the action. Yes, JESUS is GOOD!

To make a long story short. I used to be a crack addict for like 11 years. I was a homosexual prostitute as well. I hated God and everyone who loved Him.
God revealed himself to me in a miracle even though i had been taught about Him all of my life. He did it to wake me up.
I'm not doing to good atm, so i need all your prayers.
If you would like more details on my life i would gladly post them as i am an open book with no secrets.
God Bless you and all who answer your post!

the thing that triggers my conversion to Christ is from reading the Bible. When i read it i know that God is talking to me.

How it changed my life? i am now more confident in life. i can now sleep well, accept all realities in life, and if i die i dont care. coz i know that God will awaken me up someday to be with Him.
