Sin is a religious concept. It's an "offense against a deity". As no gods exist, sin is a bogus concept. I can't be a slave to false crimes.

I would love to know where this idea comes from that we are trapped in a terrible world because we don't believe in god. no, i am not a slave to anything, and especially not "sin", since i believe sin, as well as god, the devil, and all such concepts, to be simply ways organized religion has found to attain willing slaves.
i am free. i make decisions based on the reality that surrounds me, my personal code of ethics, derived from my experience and my personality. i sometimes chose to submit to something more important than my preferences, but when i do so i know what i am submitting to, why i'm doing it and I reserve the right to stop submitting at any time.
i don't believe in the existence of sin any more than i believe in the existence of Batman, and i certainly am not enslaved.

Not at all! Since I got away from all that stuff I feel much more free because I don't have to deal with supposed friends telling me I'm wrong, back sliding, sinning, dressing wrong etc etc I never felt more bound and gagged than when in Christian company. What a relief to be away from it!

I don't feel like a slave to anything. The concept of sin is strictly biblical, it is not a part of my life. I live to enjoy life.

Slave? I feel free. You're the ones enslaved by superstition.

Also, sin doesn't exist. Things which hurt others are wrong. If it doesn't hurt anybody, it's not wrong. That is all.

I don't use the word sin. I use the word mistakes. I am not a slave to my mistakes because I learn from them. If life were perfect, we wouldn't make mistakes. We need to make mistakes to learn and grow from them to be better human beings. Sin fills you with guilt. Mistakes fill you with knowledge.

We are in bondage to sin when we do what we feel like doing. In other words, we are driven, not by meaning and purpose, but by feelings. We want to feel happy and we sell our very souls (e.g. live without any real meaning in our lives) to seek those happy feelings.

Doing what we feel like doing sounds good but it is actually slavery because we can't do otherwise. If you have no God-given purpose for living what else can you do but live to gather good feelings? You can't get off the "live for good feeling" track because there is no other track to be on.

Honestly I don't. I'm really okay without religion. Nothing seems like it's missing in my life and I don't feel bogged down by 'sin'. I honestly appreciate the fact that you felt the need to verify that though.

I have my share of problems. But in general I think I'm doing okay.

I certainly don't feel that I am lacking any special grace which Christians have.

As for "slavery", it is Christians who talk a lot about the joy of servitude. Maybe it's supposed to be servitude to a higher calling, but in practice, one does see a lot of people enthralled to the earthly institutions.

There are three kinds of actions:
- The kind that has a negative affect on another person/people,
- The kind that has no effect on any other person/people,
- The kind that has a positive effect on another person/people.

As long as you have the ratios right, you can never sin.
