Yes, it does. But don't dwell on getting better. Focus on living YOUR life and taking care of YOU. Slowly but surely you'll begin to forget, and that is what you want to have happen. It's okay to not care as much as you used to, and it's perfectly natural. You'll get better with time. "This too shall pass."

Well, I cared for my first love for three years and then I met the love of my life. I still care a little for my first. You never forget them... and I was only with him for six months!
Since you say you're starting not to care, it sounds like you're finally moving on. It will probably still take a long time to get over it, but as each day passes, you will feel better about the situation.
Just remember: it's okay to still feel hurt and it's okay to think about them once in a while even after you've gotten over it.

Yes, you're healing, and it does take time. You're being honest about your feelings and how much the loss of your first love has hurt you. But, you're moving on to freedom. Freedom to be happy with or without someone.
Don't jump into another relationship just to prove that you are worthwhile or to numb the pain of this breakup. Take some time off, as you are already doing, to grieve this loss and clear your head. There's nothing wrong with you and it was not your fault nor his. It was what it was and new love will be on the horizon soon enough.

Yes, you're getting better. You'll still have bad days, but the good days will start to out number them soon and before you know it, you'll realize you have moved on. Of course, it will go much quicker if you find a new boyfriend. My best wishes for you to get over him fast.

yes you are getting better gradually. i had the same problem with my ex and girl i met someone else and i am now married and loving it! you need to not talk to him and let all yours and his friends know that you do not want to know anything about his life and what goes on in it. the less you know the less you will hurt. start going out and meeting new people. keep yourself occupied. listen, you only have one life to live and when you get older do you honestly want to look back and see how much your life was ruined because of this guy? i didnt think so.... you will be a lot more happier when you realize that he hurt you and you do not deserve it. good luck and if you need anything let me know!

if it's been a long time sence you really cared and you just started to barley get over it then it'll get harder and harder but i know just the thing to do if he likes someone then he must've already moved on so to get over him you need to do the same and move on and find a guy that'll like you and you'll like him and don't worry about your old boyfriend it was 2 years ago you need to move on just like he did good luck with that =o)
