Just about all the girls in my class has a boyfriend. I have never had one. Not one. Why is that? The next question. We got a new kid in my school (high school) he's nice looking and all that. But when I saw him he caught me eye. Right off the bat. I would really like to talk to him, but I'm a little afraid is that normal.

Believe me, you ain't missin' much. At that age boys are a waste of time. Hell some of the grown men are a waste of time. instead of worrying about a boyfriend you need to worry about SAT/ ACT Scores and what college/university you want to get into. You have all the time in the world to waste time w/ these knuckle headed boys/men. Don't rush it.

Maybe the reason you haven't had a boyfriend is because of your shyness. Also, could the guys be a little afraid of you because you're too smart or pretty or rich?

Now, about this new guy...of course you should talk with him. He's new, you really can't expect him to make the first move, it's hard to be new!

Be brave, charming, helpful and friendly. Talk with him. Ask him about where he lived before, what he does in his free time, what's his favorite subject...easy things. If he's interested he'll make the next move. All you have to do is make it easy for him.

the reason youve never had a boyfriend could be you were not ready, you didnt have time, it didnt seem that important to you at the time, or something else that only you can say. And yes its perfectly normal to be afraid and nervous to talk to a guy. Why dont you find out somethings about him see what you have in common and then try to talk to him, then you got a definate reason to talk to him. hope this helps good luck

of course it's normal to be nervous (I was, and still am..hehe).
and, dont worry about not haveing a BF yet..that just might mean that you dont want to fall after every guy- you are looking for someone special probably.

PS. If i was you, I would try to get to know the new guy, but dont show it too too much

It's normal to be shy when you first meet a guy. Whatever happens, make sure you go out with a guy b/c you truly care for him and not because you want to do what your friends are doing.

the first dive off a diving board is scary, but after a few times it doesn't seem so high. It's fine that you're late to date (I wasn't trying to rhyme). Friendship is the base of any relationship. Try being his friends first, if you want more then tell him so.
