Take the Newark Airtrain from the airport to a NJ Transit train. It all connects very easily & there will be directions all over the place. Think it's around $14. This will take you straight to Penn Station at 34th St & 8th Ave. Once the NJ Transit train leaves you in Penn Station, follow the signs to the subway. You can get the 2,3,A,C, & E trains there. Not sure where you're going in Nolita, but all of those trains go in that general area. All depends on the address. So once you know which subway line you need to take, buy a MetroCard for $2.00 one-way. Swipe it & wait for your train to come.
The whole trip should be under $18. A taxi from Newark Airport to Nolita would probably be over $50.

To find which subway will get you to the address you're going to, go to www.hopstop.com & type in your starting point at 34th St & 8th Ave & put in the destination.

Alternatively, go to www.maps.yahoo.com. Type in the address & on the right-hand side of the page click on nearest public transportation. This will let you know exactly which subways stop there & the names of the actual stop.

Good luck!

The best way is to call the hotel or friends and ask there for suggestions, and you can contact a travel agent
