He wants to kiss you. He wants to make sure his breath is not offensive. Talk to him about it. Reassure him that he doesn't have a problem. That is for the Altoids. Now, about brushing his teeth - Good for him. More men and women should do that. If you end up married to him you won't have to watch his teeth sit in a glass on the nightstand, they will still be in his mouth.

Someone must have told him at one time that he had bad breath and now he over compensates and makes sure he has good breath. You should mention it to him and tell him that it turns you off. If he is a good person other then that , you might be passing on a good guy just because of this small issue.

Perhaps his dad or mom was a dentist. It could be he just has an issue of his breathe.Maybe he is just very oral hygiene orientated.Have you tried asking him about it.Have you told him it bothers you.If this guy is someone you truly want to be around then I suggest talking and communicating about what bothers you.Best way to start anything is with honesty.

he's probably new to dating world and doesn't know that you don't need to eat 500 Altoids to kiss a girl and have her enjoy it and not be disgusted by you breath. you need to kiss him randomly when he hasn't had the chance to eat breath mints and brush his teeth. he needs to know that it's ok to have a little bit of bad breath.

Sounds like obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
Or, maybe he knows he has bad breath and he tries to conceal it. Ask him straight up.
Hey, at least he doesn't try to hide it and he's open with you about it!

Yes. I believe it is. I've heard something about that. I think it is a phobia of some kind. A fear of cavities or bad breath.
Well, he could have a worse disorder. Atleast his breath is fresh! LOL! LOL! LOL!
