It is on the nail, but close to the cuticle. When you push down on it it is soft and squishy. It doesn't hurt, but I don't understand why there is an air bubble in the nail. Why did that happen? Is it an air bubble?

I discovered that is it a digital mucous cyst. What treatment would someone go about if it is under the nail?

It could be that there has been an infection in the nail bed and that part of the nail has died. It will eventually fall off and new nail will grow. If you are worried about it then see a doctor

Talk to your doctor, you may have received an infection while geting a manicure. Nail infections can be serious.
