How do you let your boyfriend, friends and family that they are helping you in your recovery of depression and anxiety? They worry that they are making things worse for me which is totally untrue. They are people that support me no matter what. I feel bad when they say "it's my fault" when it's not. Is there a way I can let them know that they are helpful and I benefit from their support?

IT is hard for family and friends to understand what depression is. They don't realize it is not their fault. Depending on what your diagnosis is depression can be expressed in many ways. We can be depressed even on a
beautiful day and we have everything going for us .This can
be very frustration to family or love ones. Let them know you
appreciate their support and you need it. Maybe they could get some information so they can better understand what
depression is and means. There is no cure for depression
only treatment. Don't give up. Get the best doctor and the
best medication that works for you. Tell your family to keep
supporting you.

Does your Dr. know that your recovery is being thwarted by "Friendly Fire"? Albeit un intentional,it is very often the reason for extended recoveries.
Your boyfriend, family and friends need to delve into the "Books of medical explanations",to realise that you really need educated help, not inept attemps of feeble "consoleing. You have 2 of the most difficult illnesses to overcome. Please,Ask your doctor for the best explanations to your problem .I have had depr.,& anxiety, together and they, can trigger each other!,making your life miserable,So Please don't hesitate,Ask the one that can give you answers,YOUR Dr.
I wish you well, DAVER.

Show them in a letter. Or do things they wouldn't expect. If you look well and are happy they will see it for themselves.
