If one is to understand from the Matthew 18:10 passage that guardian angels are referred to, it would seem that these angels are not in an active duty, but rather "always see the face of" the Father in heaven. The active duty or oversight seems then to come more from God than the angels. In our society today, it is "in" to believe in angels. We have movies that focus on angels; we have series on TV which portray angels as being assigned to help. Scripture makes it clear that although angels possess superhuman power and knowledge, they are created beings just as we are and are "nothing" in comparison with God. As such, they are not to be worshipped (Exodus 20:1-6; Colossians 2:18). Rather, worship is to be reserved for the Trinity alone. Unfortunately, while the shows about angels give lip service to God, the Son of God is rarely mentioned (if at all). And God says, in John 5:23 that if one does not honor the Son, he does not honor the Father who sent Him.
It cannot be emphatically answered from Scripture whether each believer has a guardian angel assigned to him/her. But as stated earlier, God does use them in ministering to us. I believe that it is scriptural to say that He uses them like He uses us, i.e. He in no way needs us or them to accomplish His purposes, but chooses to use us nonetheless (Job 4:18; Job 15:15). And in the end, whether we have an angel assigned to protect us or not, we have a greater assurance that God gives: that if we are His children through faith in Christ, He works all things together for good (Romans 8:28-30), and that Jesus Christ will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5-6). If we have an omniscient, omnipotent, all-loving God with us, what does it really matter whether there is a finite angel along side of us or not?

Every person has a guardian Angel. Your guardian Angel is always there for you despite any sins you may commit. Father's unique life tests are passed to your Angel and your Angel gives you these tests. Although your Angel is free to provide you with new tests if you sin, these tests may not be pleasant, and tests to cure sins are chosen by your Angel, and your Angel alone.

Angels: We do have guardian angels. In Matthew 18:10. Jesus said, See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

There are several different types of angels. Some have appeared as men, like at Sodom and Gomorrah.

Here are some verses concerning angels. Personality and Intellect (1 Peter 1:12), Emotions ( Luke 2:13), Spirits (Hebrews 12:22), Invisible (Collations 1:15), Wise (1 Peter 1:12), Don't die (Luke 20:36), Don't all have wings (Luke 24:47, Beautiful (Ezekiel 28:13,17), Ranked in classes (1 Timothy 5:21; Ephesians 3:10-11).

Angels are not to be worshiped. They are God's messengers. Their ministry is: They were active in the life of Christ (birth,Jude 6; temptation, Matthew 4; protection, Matthew 25:53; resurrection, Matthew 28:2,5-7; return, Acts 1:11). Judging unbelievers (Acts 12:23). Active in evangelism (Luke 15). Revealing God's truth to mankind (Revelations 10). Whatever God desires them to do (Psalms 103:20.

Yes, your guardian angel will leave you if you are a sinful person. That's why you have to always was your hands, because the angels are watching. And if you pick your nose they will also see you.

Didn't realize the existence of guardian angels was "true" in the first place...things like this are really just a matter of faith, so if you believe your guardian angel leaves you I guess that would make it as close to "true" as you could get.

It's not true. You don't have a guardian angel, so nothing you do is going to make it leave.

I don't think that our assigned angels can ever leave us whether we sin or not. I think they stay with us waiting and maybe even trying to get us to repent. An extremely sinful person's angel might be powerless to help them as much if they don't ever ask for forgiveness or pray much but I think they will always be there until we die.

Daniel,
Guardian Angels are not found in the BIBLE. They have been made up be and for man. The angels serve GOD and act in any capacity that HE gives them. HE endows them with powers that they need to do whatever job HE gives them to do. Have a great week.

while i have used the phrase "guardian angel", as a christian, i dont really believe in such.

the "guardian" is the Spirit of the Lord and the salvation through Jesus, the only true guardian that i need in this world and the next.
