my friend is hooking up 4 twelve inch subs each is pumping bout 1000 watts PEAK so he got a 4000 watt amp he is not planning to run the speakers to their limit very often so he didnt get a bigger amp.go to an audio place have them tune your crap once you tune it and everything it should hit pretty hard....the more watts in the amp the better cause you dont want to go sheap in the beginning and pay big for it later on also get an amp with a bui;t in crossover, this will help you hit the high and low beats
good luck and god bless

First you must consider the RMS of your speakers. Suppose your speakers are of 40 RMS, your amplifier must atleast cater for that much.

If you are looking for cheap - these two amps are surprisingly decent. Yes, they are both overrated. But considering all your speakers are entry level co-axials, they will provide plenty of clean, unclipped power.

However, if you plan to upgrade in the future, buy something better.
