Verse:

"Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place." (Deuteronomy 12:2-3)

What is means is that the Hebrews are to go conquer other nations and overthrow their traditions and supplant them with their own.

Sort of like when the Taliban destroyed those ancient representations of Buddah.

It means kill the infidel.

It means my god is better than your god.

It means hate.

God is love? I don't see that at all.

realize He is telling them to go destroy wicked (Lucifer's buddies) people.

that is what few realize or even grasp. ancient Egypt wasn't just some guys in a desert, but were the children of the Nephilim which were the fallen ones, the 1/3rd that came down with Lucifer. These Nephilim saw that women were beautiful and took up wives and had kids. Those kids later turned into the Pharaohs of Egypt (hence the big hats you see in all the pics, it was to hide their odd heads).

This blood line can still be traced today......it is the blood line that Bush and Prince Charles belong too. It is also linked to the Illuminati, the all seeing eye, the eye of Amen-Rah. (the eye you see on CBS, Time Warner, AOL, dollar bill, new gov. agencies, etc).

Lucifer's best trick was for the world to forget he existed and he has done a great job at that. For man says its Gods fault or mans fault, never Lucifer's.

What G_D was telling His people was to go and destroy those images, items, idols, etc of those that are the children of the Nephilim. These same items didn't get destroyed and you see them today all around you. Christian cross, ChristMast tree, Xmas day, Easter, Easter egg and many others.

This even gets deeper but I'll leave you to some research. People think those battles of good and evil, angels and demons was all in the old days or fairy tales....but sorry, it still goes on to this very day. Just look up the info from Y2K and realize why there was a group that was wanting to cap the main pyramid in gold. Then research the pyramids past being grave sites, that was not their original purpose (hint) look into the electric lines, LAN lines of the earth for the answer. Lucifer was wanting to start up one of his major earth machines again...and only G_D knows what would of happened if he had got it started. Few realize that ancient Egypt was more advanced than we are even today.

God is telling the Israelites to utterly destroy all the servants of Satan that they come upon, because failing to do so will result in the destruction of the Israelites, at the hands of those same evil ones, and that would prevent Jesus, the redeemer of mankind, from ever being born.

God Himself tells us that He is a jealous God. What you are reading there is God will have the distruction of false Gods.

3"You shall tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and burn their [a]Asherim with fire, and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods and obliterate their name from that place.

4"You shall not act like this toward the LORD your God.

5"But you shall seek the LORD at the place which the LORD your God will choose from all your tribes, to establish His name there for His dwelling, and there you shall come.

Check out the context. This is a command given to the nation of Israel telling them to destroy the pagan nations. This is a one time command given to a nation, not to individuals. It shows God's justice which is an essential part of his character. If you check out Revelation you will see that another time is coming when God will show His wrath. This in no way affects his love for people. He must punish them, even though he loves them. His wrath in no way compromises His love.

God is many things man. That's why His name is so simple, people don't know how to describe Him. God. God called Himself the "I Am".
I need help with this question's interpretation. What does it mean about you? That you don't believe in God perhaps?
Why not?

"The time has come," he said. 'The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!' "
(Mark 1:15)

Yes, God's love - he is having these things destroyed so that the people will not fall into a trap baited by Satan and cause greater harm by sinning and disobeying.

What it means is that you shall be consistent with your faith. If you adore God, you should not adore money, fame, etc. also. I have always believed that the bible is written in symbols and allegories (just as Jesus spoke in parables all the time), and not as something to be taken literally.

Moses was telling the Hebrews to get rid of all the alters and areas where other gods were worshipped. He told them to get rid of the idols of the other gods.
