Christians, why when God says that we should love everyone, do you (and I do not speak for all of us) bash other people who believe different then you? Yes we are supposed to try to open them to the truth, but through love and compassion, not through hatred and anger. Why do you insist on being crude when God says we should love?

I am not saying I am perfect. I am guilty of it at times too.

No unfortunately it means we didn't love Him or accept that He sent His Son to save us from our sins (John 3:16). I have studied love in fact my life scripture is 1 Corinthians 13. That will give you all the characteristics of love.

I really like your answer with the exception of "Real Christians don't do this". We all sin! Yes we want HIS light to shine through us, but I don't think it would be fair for us to say "Real Christians don't do this." At least it wouldn't be much different than saying "Real Christians don't sin"...and we all know that isn't true. But aside from that I like the answer.

The only way to win people to Christ is through love. Too many people spend too much time trying to convince others that they are wrong rather than lead them to the truth. The way you present yourself goes a long way in effective witnessing.

Real Christians shouldn't do this honey, the Bible says to let his light shine through us, that means anyone and everyone you meet should know you are saved because the light of God shines through you and they can see the peace and joy of God in you. That is what will bring others to him, If we are no different than others in the world than what exactly are we saying our God can give man that he already doesn't have, the Bible says" Love thy neighbor as thyself" "If your brother strikes you, turn the other cheek," He layed down his life for everyman, woman and child not just those who we feel deserve his Love. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Sin is Sin If you lie it is a sin, if you are a murderer it is a sin..In the eyes of God one sin is not less of a sin than the other, a Sin is a Sin.Matthew 12:36 " But I say unto you, that every idle word that man shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment". Christians on this sight remember that , when you call a man a fool or a homosexual a fag, or anyone anything that is idle, God will judge you as you stand before him on judgment day , and what reason will you give the Almighty for not heeding his word? what reason will you give him for not listening when he told us " Judge not lest ye be judged?"

To converse with someone over the net is hard. Emotions are misunderstood, because writing is a new thing to most people. In the past we did very little writing. I would not judge a person's feelings by the way they write. I have often been accused of being mad when in fact I wasn't. We are not going to open anyone to the truth. That is the Holy Spirit's job. We can only present the truth.

I never bash ppl, but if some one ask for my opion I give it to them in Love with scripture to back it up. It's a shame when ppl. bash ppl. just because they don't understand or agree with them there is a thing called FREE WIILL and it applies to everyone.
with that said remember it's not just Christans that some times bash, and very sad thing if they do, It's anyone who feels threatened,
for instance my faith may feel like hogwash to some on this forum...and that's there choice to feel so...but it's very real and alive to me so I would LOVE the freedom to be live what I be live without being bashed.
freedom of speech and thought goes both ways. and I believe TRUE Christans don't or should not bash but show Love to all..Peace & love

I am christian and I know that in my church we try to be accepting of other religions, even though other churches may not exactly hold to our beliefs. I would like to say that everyone in my church loves each other and everyone else, but that would not be true. The truth is, as you said, that we are not perfect, nobody on this earth is and we all may say things that we shouldn't at one time or another. We should all try and be better at this, however.

Once again, the Last Ent, I completely agree with you.
If someone wants to believe something, even if I think it is untrue, then that is their choice, and I respect that. What I don't respect is people who try to tear other down because they believe different. I try not to do that, and I'm sure there have been times when I've been pissed off and said something I shouldn't have or didn't even really mean. I'm human and by no means perfect.
There is a quote that I absolutely love. "You are free to believe whatever you choose to believe, but you are not free to avoid the penalty of the abyss you refuse to see." ~Richard Rahl, Faith of the Fallen

Those who lean unto there own understanding of scripture are leading others astray and blinded by their "pride!" But this has to occur for the Kingdom of God is coming to this earth and establish His way as the only way.
Pride is man's downfall. The End of the circle of man's self rule will be the beginning of Christ's Kingdom but that "pride" must be broken first!

Ppl are crude to others because of their own ego. These are the ppl who do not follow the words of GOD. Ppl think by going to church and listening to sermon and donating money to religious charity, it makes them religious. A litte bit of religious knowledge makes ppl feel that they are on top of others and if you dont practice what they feel 'the right thing to practice' they bash you up. Thats wrong. Real religious ppl are ppl who follow the words of GOD...the word of GOD is only one ...LOVE. Those who can love selflessly and conquer their ego are truly religious ppl.

I stunning Christians when I see them choose individuals and dismiss different ideals. To me, love and tolerance are the cornerstones of the Christian faith. when I see some Christians diverge from this path, I have not any concern attempting to hold them decrease back.

Read the gospels how Jesus reacted to the leaders who hated Him for telling the truth (Jesus didn't become PC tolerant just because the world did 40 years ago).
Sin is still sin (not protected groups).
The anti-christians need to read their own posts before they scream the christian are hateful.
Yes Jesus loves them (not their sin).
