need family help?

i called my cousin's house today to see if i left my backpack there and my little cousin answered it. she's seven years old. so i was talking to her i asked if i could talk to her mom. she told me that no one was with her. that her mom left that she will be right back. she was lefted at home from 3:45 to 7:00pm. she didn't have anything to eat. now what i'm worried about is if this happens a lot. what should i do i asked my friends and they said "it's not my sister so don't worry about it" what should i do?

Ask you mom if when you were young if she ever left you like that and when your mom asks why you brought it up then tell her what you just said here. The other thing I would have done is take care of the immediate situation and gone over there and stayed with the cousin till the mom came home; given her dinner or whatever and I have a funny feeling just by doing that the mom would have gotten the message and may have thought twice about that before doing it again. But talk to mom or dad about it ...I am sure its one of their sisters who is the mom that is not making good judgments with their kid.....Good Luck!

This is a major concern and problem. First, go to your mother and to the person who's child this is. Explain to mom and relative at the same time your concerns. BE FIRM! Except no excuses! If left unchecked, this incident that you found out about could lead to even greater and more serious problems later. Child services is NOT something I'd with on satan even!!!!!

You need to tell your mother or father. That is neglect and stuff like that could cause your Aunt to lose her children. You need to tell someone that can have a serious conversation with your Aunt and let her know that 7 is still too young to be leaving a child home alone.
