Why do you want to? DLA is used to format CD/RWs so they can be used to backup data files. A CD/RW formatted with DLA would work like a floppy in your computer. In order to use it in another computer you would have to download a small reading program.

I'm not sure you can remove just this capability of the software that powers your burner. Suggest you contact the company that owns the software to see if this can be done. If you are not careful you could disable your burner altogether.
