I've tried doing searches on the internet to find out if there are any serious organized groups or organizations who are trying to get the Jerry Springer show off the air. I'm also wondering how a show like that was allowed to air or remain on T.V. It's the worst show I"ve ever seen. People shouldn't be encouraged to fight each other on television. It makes some people to think that acting perverted is something to be proud of.

I should've added this comment when I asked this question but I forgot. I don't watch this show. Other people watch it sometimes when I'm around.

If you don't like the Jerry Springer Show, don't watch it. Why do you feel the need to be the judge of what other people should or shouldn't watch? In America, we value freedom of speech. If someone wanted to remove Dr. Laura because she's a rude and opinionated bigot, that wouldn't be fair either. Everyone has the right to be heard, no matter what they say. Just because someone offends you doesn't give you the right to censor them. You should decide what you want to watch and listen to, and let others do the same.

Um, and this has a basis in the religion section how?
If you don't like it, don't watch it. It's that simple. The same button that turns the tv on also turns it off. I don't watch it because it glorifies American trashiness, ignorance and stupidity while hiding behind a guise of moral superiority. I'm surrounded by enough stupid people - I don't need to see more of them when I'm trying to be entertained.

Ahhhhh...
You know, the common thread in that show seems to be the inability of people to recognize their personal contribution to an issue.
It may not be eloquent, but if someone doesn't speak that language, this show helps to expose them to "what doesn't work" in the language that they speak.
"What doesn't work" is also a common theme on that show. It has purpose.

If you don't like the show then don't watch it. Put parental blocks on the cable. Everyone knows the show is fake anyway.

People don't care about morals, they care about ratings. Most people need to see someone more unfortunate than they are, so they will keep the show on as long as it has ratings.
