There are toothbrush and toothpaste made for cats you can give it a try. However, usually when a cat has very bad breath it is a sign of something worse. Have you taken your cat to the vet to have his teeth checked out. I found out the hard way that when the breath is really foul it means that there is a problem with some of the teeth. You may be able to save the teeth if you get a professional cleaning, but there is a chance that your cat has some rotten teeth that may need to come out. This is very common in cats. My dear departed Max lost his front teet and boy did he look funny, sunken jaws.
The two cats I have now, Emily and Pyewacket go for cleanings regularly, but it hasn't helped, they just have bad teeth and both have lost a number of teeth lately. But they were both in a lot of pain, so better they went through the surgery. Now they both have great smelling breath

although his breath may smell bad, it doesn't necessarily mean that his teeth are bad. Get him checked out by the vet. He could have bad breath due to stomach issues. If that bad breath comes from the belly, then you need to target the stink from the inside. Sunflower seed oil helps with people, but the vets have things you can feed to your pets that can help freshen him up from the inside out. good luck, i hopeyour cat is nice and healthy.

The most common cause for kitty bad breath is bacteria in the mouth due to plaque and tartar build-up. Many cat guardians don't realize that we need to brush kitty's teeth regularly to maintain the cat's dental health. The best way to et rid of kitty bad breath is to begin a regimen of brushing his teeth regularly. You can buy cat toothpaste and brush at any pet store (never use human toothpaste). You'll be pleasantly amazed at what a difference a little brushing makes!

Bad Breath in a cat is not good, he or she could have a bad tooth. Look in her mouth for any signs of her gums looking bad. If it continues take her to the vet. Do not wait, bad teeth can lead to Kidney and Heart Problems.

Make an appointment with your vet and have his teeth cleaned. The vet will clean his teeth up under the gums the same way we get ours cleaned at the dentist. You can then get your kitty on some type of preventative maintenance.

More than likely, your cat needs his/her teeth professionally cleaned by the vet. Afterward the surgery, you need to start brushing his/her teeth, so that she does not loose any teeth to cavities or absesses.
