Depends upon what sort of bike IE motor, or cycle. However, if motor version, unlike the kind offer of one very interesting female biker, Harleys are C**p for anything other than straight, flat roads. Try a Kwak or even better, a KTM.

If you want to cycle, for your first bike, try a specialized, perhaps a rock hopper. failing that, Giant do a resonable disk version for about £400. If in doubt, make sure that it has an ally frame and uses good components, like Shimano Deore, or SRAM X7. You will also want about 100mm of travel on your forks. Give us a resonable budget and an idea and we will be able to give you a better indication.
