Protestants only believe in holding fast to their own faith traditions.
The specifically disclaim anything that came before, other than the Bible, which, strangely enough, and according to Martin Luther, is a product of the tradition of the Catholic Church.
I realize that's a contradiction, but don't blame me. That's how they do things.
For example, George Washington is not mentioned in scripture, so he obviously never existed.
But the emperor Constantine, who is not mentioned in scripture either, certainly did exist, because protestant tradition has built an anti-Catholic case against him.
See how simple that is?

Protestants disagree with the Bible regarding traditions because they have belief of the truthfulness of their traditions. The are not following the bible's teachings correctly and faithfully.
For your information, Protestants are formerly members of the Roman Catholic Church but they have protested the teachings and doctrines of catholics b ecause some of there teachings are based from the doctrines of the Pagans and their own doctrines as declared by the Vatican/Pope
Protestants then founded and organized their church and named it Protestants, however only few of the doctrines of the catholics were changed by the founder of Protestant religion but many of its teachings have originated from the catholics and they have still strong belief on traditions which are false belief according to the b ible. They do not want to follow what was written in Chapter 11, verse 1 to 22 of 1 Cor. and in llThess. Chap 2 verses 1 to 17.
It means in 1 Cor chap 1 verse 1 to 22- that the traditions given to them by Pablo have been followed and remain as it is. The head of a man is Jesus Christ and the head of a woman is the man and the head of christ is God.When a man is covering his head while praying, he is dishonoring his head(Jesus} but if a woman is praying without cover on his head, he is dishonoring his head (man) and she is like with head but with no hair.
The covering in his head there is his hair which should not be cutt off (not the belo) which the catholics are using.A man should not be with long hair because he is the representation of God while the woman is the representation of the man becasue the man did not come from the woman but the woman came f rom the man.It is here that a short hair for a woman is prohibited and a long hair for a man is also prohibited.
It is an honor for a woman to have a long hair because this was given to her as her head covering . This is the tradition given to the faithful of Corinnthians who are membrs of the Church of God,.
The supposed traditions that will be followed are written in Corinthians and Thessalonians.

The problem is, when Paul speaks of the traditions, those are traditions that were handed directly to them by Paul in his Apostolic Authority. Once those traditions are passed on from that generation to the next they then lack Apostolic authority.
Colossians 2:8-
8See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
We see here that human tradition is looked down upon by Christ. The Catholic Church is full of tradition made by men. Colossians 2:8 emphasises that all human traditions must be in accord with scripture, and if they are not, they are human traditions and should be discarded.

Those who lean unto there own understanding of scripture are leading others astray and blinded by their "pride!" But this has to occur for the Kingdom of God is coming to this earth and establish His way as the only way.
Pride is man's downfall. The End of the circle of man's self rule will be the beginning of Christ's Kingdom but that "pride" must be broken first!

I do know that one of the ten commandments is to follow the sabbath. Christians don't do that - which is interesting. It is supposed to be the Jewish sabbath (same one Jesus celebrated). Technically, Christians should also be celebrating Hanukkah (as Jesus did), but oh well.
By the way, if you're talking from a Catholic perspective - you should know a lot of your "traditions" didn't originate from neither Jesus nor the bible. They were adopted by Peter as a mixture of pagan traditions and Jewish traditions.

Why do you keep posting questions then deleting them...
He the traditons he is talking about is what he told them. He told them what is written in the bible. When it says "And he wrote unto the thessolonians ......." That is what he wrote. NOT ok, well my grandma says that if you bury a statue in your yard upside down your house will sell next week.. NO, that is NOT what it is talking about. Stick with the bible, your family is wrong, God is right always!

Because some of the traditions of the Catholic Church were created by sinful men and have no scriptural basis.
You're dividing again.
What's more important, bringing non-believers to the Lord or correcting your Protestant brothers and sisters?

Gosh, I don't know! Perhaps because it was written 1500+ years ago by ignorant men attempting to explain the unknown and opportunists attempting to manipulate the masses?
