just want to know some basic info about the Zero such as where was the fuel held? In the wings or hull etc?

The fuel tank was in the Wings. The American Fighter Pilots would aim at the wings to light the thing on fire. With no Self-sealing Fuel tanks, the move cost so many pilots their lifes. They were not built in the planes so they could be kept light.

Don't go 100% on me but my memory tells me that the fuel tanks on a Mitsubishi Zero were either in the wings, or they were in the fueslage just ahead of the tail.

I'm going to take a wild stab and say it was held in the gas tanks.
