Dear Jenn,
I see that you are new toY!A. Well the answers that you have received are about average for the question that you have posed. I have been here a bit longer than you and have become thick skinned enough to pay them no mind.
After a while you will get to know how to ask your questions so that you do not recieve such belittling responses.
As to your question that they refer to as Pascal's Wager, they will say that there may be a thousand different religions, so how do you know that yours is right?
They will groan because they think that they have it figured out. However Blase Pascal was one of the greatest minds of the 1700's. He most certainly covered those aspects of the wager in his essays called his "Pensee", that I am sure none of them have read.
Hang in there kid
I was at an Evangelism conference recently.
Stats show that it takes an average of 35 contacts to take a person from being an agnostic to indicating that Christianity is so much more than they could ever imagine. You are one of the links in that chain. Be a strong one.
Remember C.S.Lewis was a diehard Atheist. When he became a Christian, he was literally "Surprised by Joy" It could happen to one of those that answered you.
P.S. Need encouragement? email me any time
God bless
Y!A Is a mission field at your doorstep

Pascal's wager:
"If god exists, it's infinitely better to believe, since you get heaven instead of hell for eternity. If he doesn't, it doesn't matter since you're dead anyway. So overall it's better to believe"
This is, of course, false.
Some of the problems with the argument:
* The implied assumption that god may exist (with a 50% probability, no less!)
* The assumption that there is an afterlife with a heaven and hell
* The assumption that the god cares about belief in him/her above all else
* The assumption that if you believe in a god, it will definitely be the same god that actually exists.
* The assumption that you lose nothing if it's false. You have lost a great deal, from time praying to a nonexistent entity (somebody mentioned just today praying several hours a day!!!) to morality (your god may ask you to hurt other people) and much more besides.
* The assumption that people can believe in something simply because it benefits them. Would you believe goblins exist for twenty bucks? Why not?
* The assumption that any god won't see through the "believing just to get into heaven" ploy.

atheists are such mindless sheep. Yes this question has been asked a million times before, but could an atheist say anything more relevant than the standardized "no need to prove a negative," and "pascal's wager."
By the by, I've never actually heard a good comeback to date regarding pascal's wager, all I ever heard was that it was pascal's wager, so obviously it is invalid.
But once again, Christians: 0, Atheists: 1/2 (the half signifies the actual existence of some intelligence, and the Christians get 1/2 because they're at least pointed in the right direction, however they get -1/2 because their religion.)

My fellows are correct in pointing out that the onus of proof is on you, not us. However, I won't even ask for proof. Just some empirical evidence or even a logical reason that God might exist.
We cannot disprove God, I'll admit it right here and now. We can't disprove the Tooth Fairy or the Flying Spaghetti Monster either. Yet since we have absolutely no reason to even consider the idea that they might actually exist, we don't believe in them.
Wow, I was totally gonna edit and address the whole Pascal's wager issue, but that dude above me beat the **** outta that one. Cheers!

atheists are such senseless sheep. Yes this query has been requested one million occasions earlier than, however would an atheist say something extra crucial than the standardized "no have to turn out a poor," and "pascal's guess." By the through, I've not ever truthfully heard a well comeback to this point concerning pascal's guess, all I ever heard used to be that it used to be pascal's guess, so without doubt it's invalid. But as soon as once more, Christians: zero, Atheists: a million/two (the part indicates the specific life of a few intelligence, and the Christians get a million/two since they are a minimum of pointed within the proper path, nevertheless they get -a million/two since their faith.)

So if God doesn't exist nothing bad will happen to anyone? But if God does exist then someone is going to burn in hell?
I'm hoping for the first. I may not live forever, but I'll die knowing no one else is going to suffer, including you darling.
By the way, the Bible states that there is only 1 judge. What don't you supposed Christians get about this? Does losing the right to judge others take all the fun out of it?

What is up with christians telling everyone to open a bible as if that will make people somehow magically believe?
I HAVE read the bible. Some is probably a more-or-less historical telling of what life was like in a previous time. Some is just the retelling of myths that already existed. Some is making up new myths. None of it causes me to believe that there really is a judgmental, bad-tempered bully in the sky.
Have you ever heard of groups of hundreds (thousands?) of people all excited to go out and prove that bigfoot, men from outer space, or chupacabra is FAKE? No? Because the burden of proof lies in the believer.
Your finally statement is completely flawed. If all atheists were to pretend to believe just in case there MIGHT be a hell, is your god too stupid to realize we're pretending? And telling us that if we don't worship some meanie is going to pitch us into a lake of fire isn't exactly convincing. Who wants to worship someone like that?

Some of us actually think living without fear of being sent to hell is an acceptable risk. We choose not to live in a delusion just because others think we should.
And well to prove pascal's theory from my prespective cause thats what I do, look at both sides of the coin............ in the end neither side will prove to be right anyway because either one of two things are going to happen 1) there is a heaven and yes I think even we (non-believers) will still get to go there because not believing is not enough justification for sending us to hell vs what we have done in our lives as a whole and if it is then I dont want to go that kind of heaven anyway. 2) there is no heaven and hell and well I didnt live in fear for my entire life for nothing and the believers well they just lived a good faithful life and nothing wrong with that either, who wins; no one either way.

Funny to see how some people see religion as bissness (if you are right, you loose nothing but if I am right you loose all, so better if you do as I say, blah, blah, blah.). What your words mean is that you "believe" in God because it is profitable for you to, just like those converted pagans of the middle ages that were baptized but kept their old religion, so that they could be right either way. It simply doesn't work like that!
And about the header question (about prooving that God does not exist), let me tell you that your question is nonesensical: you cannot prove that something does not exist, because proof requires evidence, and something that does not exist leaves no evidence; therefore, your logics are flawed. You can always prove that something exists, but can never prove that something does not exist. Basic rational thinking.

So meteculously planned and so well performing set up and immaculate provisions of everything needed, be it worldly knowledge required for material achievements or divine knowledge required for next world could be without existence of super power?Unfortunately the knowledge about God provided by Bible suffer from self vascillations and inconsistencies;only Quran can make a comprehension of attributes of God.The firs paragraph of Bible is disgusting when it proclaims to have a God taking rest on the seventh day of creation.
