Aspirin is used in this setting to decrease the tendency of platelets to aggregate and make blood clots in the coronary vessels. The dose of aspirin required for this is much less than the dose you would take for a headache, pain or fever. I assume he is on 50 mg or 75 mg a day. Taking an additional tablet is not going to either help or harm him but high doses of aspirin can irritate the stomach, produce peptic ulcers and kidney damage as well as certain rare syndromes in children.

It's OK, but it varies from the optimum dose for heart attack prevention, so acetaminophen/paracetamol would be a simpler choice. If there's none in the house, the difference is so small I'd say save the trip to the store and take a few aspirin for a day or two, and that would certainly be a better choice than adding in other NSAID drugs like ibuprofen.

Yes, its okay to take two asprin in one day. Still make sure you read the labels for the instructions. Also let him know to take it easy. When you work out for the first time and you haven't did it in a while, you can hurt yourself because your body is not used to it. So he can do only what he can and build himself up daily so he won't hurt himself. Take it one day at a time. Your heart is not used to it and it can cause a heart attack if you do too much at one time.
Take care.

Yes, it's alright. He may want to calm down and feel like himself. His aspirin is a part of his life. Juice can help after a workout, sit down with it. Water is also helpful. Maybe a nap after a shower will help him. Don't forget to stretch the muscles and limber up before all this exercise.
