What is the best way to get to Stonhenge from Camberley? What is the cheapest way? (Bus or train, no car)

There are many companies that do tours to Stonehenge..or take a bus...the suggestion that you walk on the M3 is not very helpful because pedestrians are not allowed on the motorways...

If you know someone who has a car, why don't you ask them to take you if you pay for the day out...fuel and food and entrance fees...

There's no train that goes to Stonehenge or even closeby Amesbury. The closest station would be at Salisbury. A return ticket from Camberley to Salisbury is about 20.10 pounds.

By bus is very annoying as the trip can take 4-5 hours and involves 3 or 4 changes.

One interesting suggestion is to walk to there. The distance is not great and it will be very interesting. It is only about 85km from Camberley to Stonhenge. The way to go is go out on M3 until Junction 8 where you have to turn into A303 toward Andover. If you continue on A303 it will get you all the way to Stonhenge.
