i have ragdoll kitty and she is very vocal...ALL night long. so when my boyfriend starts schreeching about how she won't shut up i always "leave her alone shes just a baby" and he gets so mad cause she is three hahaha
anyways the bag of purina kitten chow says to give to your cat till it's 1 year old. so my answer is one year....always a kitten in your heart though.

Well, judging by the fact that most "kitten" food I've seen is for 0 - 6 months, I would say 6 months.....but my 2 cats are turning 3 and 4 this year....and they're still my little kitties:-) Your kitty is still very young and very much a kitten.....probably cute as heck too.

As you can see from all these answers that's not a cut-and-dried question! I consider them kittens until they are a year old. But I have a 5 year old who is still very much a kitten! He is playful and silly.

I always used to consider a cat under one year old to be a kitten. But, I've had so many males, ginger tigers, especially, who have continued to grow for two years. So, I consider cats to be kittens these days under two years old. Females, though, might be offended. They sometimes do not like to be considered kittens after they are, oftentimes, as young as eight months old. But, I feed only Kitten Chow to any age cat, and tuna and salmon and sometimes trout that I catch and can for them myself.

Around a year when u take her off kitten food... But I still call my cats kittens... and they definitely aren't! Congrats on the kitten!

A kitten finally becomes a adult cat at the age of 2 years old.
3 month old kitten is equivelent to a 9-12 month old
6 month old kitten is equivelent to a 12 year old
2 year old cat is equivelent to a 24 year old

Usually around a year old. Occasionally i still think of my 2 year old cat as a kitten though, as she didn't grow very big.

As far as how they act...usually until they are 5-6 months. As far as them being on kitten food, it would not hurt them for at least the first 6-7 months.

I agree with 1 year, but if you apply the theory that each year on a cat is 7 human years then it would be about 2 and 3/4 years.....or is that only dogs???

I would consider a cat to be an adult at 1 years age. But you can start feeding it adult cat food around 10-11 months of age.
