I love to marvel at the bloody carnage that is religion's wake.

Nope. I know it "helps" people... I know it "changes" people... but it's all rotten at the core. I'd prefer that people be helped and changed by something that isn't based on a nonexistent deity and a nonexistent messiah.
Nicole, "guy" is sometimes used as a way of referring to a person without suggesting gender, as in saying "hey, you guys" to a mixed gender group.

wow the west really messed up what the meaning of Jihad means.
the literal translation of jihad is struggle, the prophet muhammad may peace and blessings be upon him said that there were two kinds of struggles.
one of them being the lesser rewarding, a physical struggle, this can vary from something as little as having a hard time lifting weights to having trouble defeating an enemy in battle (not nessiraily through hand to hand combat)
the seconed kind the prophet mentioned which he aslo mentioned to be the more rewarding, was the emotional or spirtual struggle which entails something along the lines of keeping your identity as a muslim or struggle to find God. God bless

It is a history of the psychology of people throughout the ages and it says a lot about the mindset of the people who believe(d) it (it being whichever religion you care to research).
That is what I really do enjoy about religion.
