The park I go to is open in the early morning but closes early at night. I work full-time and go to school part-time...so I usually go before work... Sometimes I don't get finished with studying or class early enough so I get less than 8 hours of sleep and if i choose to go to the park in the morn, then its 7 hrs....

You won't lose weight if you don't get enough sleep. But you won't lose weight if you don't exercise. Hmmmm.

I'd say try it for awhile and get your seven hours of sleep, if it's affecting your sleep you may have to make time somewhere else in your day. But exercise is always good, just try to keep sleep and exercise balenced and I think you'd be fine.

Good Luck!

You shouldn't sacrifice sleep for exercise. I would recommend finding some other method of exercising that fits your schedule. Why must you walk in the park? Maybe walk around your block a few times. You may also want to consider getting a treadmill. If this is something you see yourself doing for a long time, it'd be worth the investment. Then you can "walk" while watching tv, or studying for an exam, or what have you.

Exercise and sleep are very important to be at your best every day! Perhaps you can find another location that you like or maybe it's time to try something else..like a yoga or arobics class. Another suggestion would be to find a gym or social center where they have open things for the public such as swimming, tennis, volleyball, etc. Each community usually has something like this- you may meet up with some locals and jog together for some company!

Studies have shown that people who get 8 hours of sleep a night are more successful at loosing weight and keeping it off.

However, to lose this weight exercise is of course needed, so can't be sacrificed as you put it.

All I can suggest is trying to incorporate exercise during the day, even if it's something simple like getting off a couple of bus stops early and walking etc. Good luck!
