Are Christians Muslims and Satanists all worshipping the same god?

Known all three and they all seem to admire different aspects of the same god. For christians its the new testament and for muslims its the god of the old testament. Don't need to explain it as its obvious, just read the bible and koran.

Is it against religion to want to become a god?

Obviously you actually know nothing about Satanism.
I don't follow it but I know that it is definitely not what you think it is, which is 'Theistic Satanism", which is more rare.

As far as Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Theistic Satanists, yes, I would say they worship the same God, but in different methods.

Holy crap Bl3ss3dw1thL1f3, you must be the most narrow-minded person I have heard on here yet.

Satanists not worship God. They worship all that is opposite of God. For more on that read the works of Anton LaVey.
I cannot say I am an expert on the Muslim religion. Though I am under the impression they worsip one God (Allah) and the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed. (Pardon me if that's spelled incorrectly) Christians follow the words of the New Testament, Jews the Old Testament and they read the Talmud. Is it against religion to want to become a God? In Christian, Judaism, and Islam, YES. Buddhism perhaps it's OK. And witches or Pagans believe in a male and a female form of God.

Many Muslims call the Old Testament corrupt as it does give prophesy of a Messiah that did atone for sin. Muslims may well be in agreement with Satan as he would call the word of God corrupt and deny the atonement God provided. I am a Christian and not only do I agree with the New Testament but also the Old Testament and all of the truth of God.

i believe Christians and Muslims have the same God. but satanists? dude, you should get out more often. obviously satanists worship Satan. you know, a friend of mine use to tell me that you can read anything you want to read, just don't believe in all of them. some articles can be deceiving you know. if you're a Christian, then read the Bible alone, if you're a Muslim then read the Koran. and about the "wanting to become a god" thing, yes, it is wrong. you know, that is the reason why Lucifer was exiled from heaven and was thrown to the world.

Well, the God recognized in Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are all the same. In addition, they all recognize Jesus as a prophet. But those who worship Satan do not worship God- that is a direct contradiction. Those two entities (God and Satan) are considered to opposite, independent beings. So no.

And whether or not it is against religious doctrine to want to become a god is subject to interpretation, although I would assume that the vast majority would call that sacrilegious.

Hello, and let me help you out here! First of all, Christians (those born of God's spirit and washed in His blood) worship Him in truth. Christians worship the God of the Bible, a risen Lord who's coming again to receive His own until Himself. There's only one Lord and one way to Heaven: Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Christians read, study, and believe the revelation given in both the NEW and OLD Testaments. Now those in Judaism soley go with the Old Testament, as do the Muslims. The reason Jews are hated is because God chose them for Himself and it is through them a Messiah came, and without a doubt it was Isaac who was taken up Mt. Moriah to fulfill God's demand in order to test Abraham. So Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Believers. Muslims believe in Allah and do not believe nor trust in Jesus... though every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that HE is Lord to the glory of God the Fathe. Satan is not God nor a god... but merely a fallen angel. So do you see the great difference between these? As for being a god, it is too late for you as all mankind are fallen and unregenerate outside of God's gift of salvation. We need a savior... and only Christ the Lord can apply... now and always. Straight up friend.

no to the worshipping the same god. For Christians, god is GOD; not ''god''. A ''god'' is an idol or person who considers himself holy. But GOD is the creator and sustainer of all things and deserves all the people he has created on the earth to worship him... even though people are stupid enough to believe in all this science crap. and it is EXTREMELY against religion to want to become a god. that is basically saying that you think that you deserve to be worshipped, but you don't because all humans are fallen and unworthy of worship of any kind.

Let me give you a bit of a history lesson.

In the days of Abraham and his wife Sarah, life was tough. Sarah as we all know was barren, she couldn't have children. So, being the good wife she was (Lol), Sarah gave to him her Egyptian handmaid Hagar, in which to have a child, so that Gods plan (that Abrahams heir was to rule over the land) could be fulfilled. This son's name was Ishmael. Hating the child and his mother, Sarah drove them away. After hearing her weeping, God told Hagar that Ishmael's descendants would be too numerous to count. Some time later Sarah had her own son Issac.

Now that that's done. Ishmael is thought of to be a fore-father to Muhammad, and basically formed the Islamic religion, while Issac is thought of as one of the fore-fathers of Christianity. They both came from the same father who worshiped the same God. So to answer your question, Yes, we do worship the same God, although, in different ways.

No, they are not worshiping the same God. Its not against religion, its against God and Humanity. Religion is only a means of grouping beliefs. Its the spirituality that is significant.

Talk to a Mormon about wanting to become a god. Don't know the exact wording...but I do know they believe something such as how in the afterlife if they live "right" they will be gods or god-like.

As to the first question...they all worship a made-up deity, so it might as well be the same thing.

Is it against religion to make up my own diety and give her whatever aspects I choose?
