That genocide is good (already does :cS )
and other morally bankrupt ideas, would you still blindly follow it?

I think many of you have failed to understand my question. So here it is again:
If the Bible suddenly contained messages that told you NOT to help the poor and spit on them, would you still follow it?

Since God decides what is moral, it would be difficult to argue your opinions about morality with Him. But you are right, in a way, in taking your argument to flawed humans on an internet message board, because you are more likely to get answers that please you.

I think your asking if we would believe anything. Even if it was inconsistent with what we know of as good.
All I can tell you is that the Bible holds our verbal and written account of what we believe to be the truth. Now, what people don't realize is there are non-biblical books too that support the bible as a historical account also.
People tear the bible apart because there were so many contributors and so many translations. But, we can say this about all ancient texts. If you read it. If you have an open mind and heart and maybe let God in a little, you'll see that it is not blind, but, eye opening.
Believe me I do understand where non-Christians are coming from, I was there too. And the bible seems so harsh. But, once you know Jesus, you realize it's all about love.

Here is what you just said.

A.) The Bible says genocide is good
B.) Christians blindly follow the Bible

So why aren't we all committing genocide?

Your generalization of Christians is as wrong as your understanding of the Bible.

The Bible does NOT give out any "morally bankrupt" ideas, as you put it. There is no place where genocide is encouraged either. The Bible is the Word of God, which, has very good benefits in our day. "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16,17).

*rolls eyes*

God is supremely good, infinitely wise. He will not instruct us to do something utterly bad.
