If not, is there any place that could possibly tow it for me for under 2,000?

I have a truck fully capable of pulling 10,000lbs. So truck is not an issues, only the trailer and length of the boat seems to be stumping me.

A few more questions need to b answered. What is the beam(width) and the keel? These will make a difference on the trailer and on the road rules. Probably even the empty hull of a 42 footer weighs more than 5000 pounds. 8 1/2 feet is the width allowed without permit. You also have a height problem if you do not remove keel or do not have a shallow keel. The truck towing capacity includes the weight of the trailer. You can not rent a trailer that has a gross weight of more than 10,000 pounds. Your boat and trailer will weigh more than that.

Check with your local marinas. They may have a trailer you could rent or may offer towing. As for buying a trailer, a trailer to hold a 42 foot sailboat will be way over $2000.
